What is Microneedling?
Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure that helps rejuvenate the skin, minimize the signs of aging and improve the appearance of acne scars.
After the third decade of life, the body’s ability to produce collagen steadily begins to decline. This can lead to changes in skin texture, tone or color and lead to fine lines and wrinkles.
Microneedling can help lift and tighten the skin while improving its texture. Circulation is improved giving a healthier pink glow and a more even tone. Skin looks smoother and younger with minimal to no downtime.

A medical grade pen with tiny needles is used to make micro channels in the skin creating controlled injury. These micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural wound healing processes, leading to cell turnover and regeneration. Microneedling aids in increasing collagen and elastin production and prevents or reverses the signs of aging while giving you a more youthful glow. Skin becomes firmer and regains elasticity while reducing the appearance of fine lines and creating a smoother, softer texture.
The procedure takes about 30 minutes. Topical numbing medicine is worn 30-60 minutes prior to treatment. Immediately after, the skin feels tight and appears to have a sunburn for a few hours to a few days. Changes will be noticeable after a few weeks, however a series of 3 treatments are recommended to see the best results.
